I am a third year graduate student pursuing my M.S/Ph.D in Computer Science at
University of
Massachusetts, Amherst (UMass). Prior to UMass, I completed
my undergraduate studies at IIT
Bombay in 2004. Currently, I am working in the Information
Extraction and Synthesis Laboratory (IESL). My advisor
is Prof. Andrew
McCallum. I am interested in applying machine learning
techniques to the problems in Information Extraction.
Interests
My hobbies include playing basketball, volleyball, tennis and squash. I
love playing my guitar. I love listening to music (generally rock).
Projects
I am currently working on the research search engine Rexa. Also I am
doing research in applying alignment (edit distance) models to
different problems. For brief overview of my research look here.
