- CMPSCI 611, Theory of
Algorithms: (Taught by Prof. Barrington)
Core course. Overall was a good course. Topics covered were divide and
conquer, greedy, DP, network flow and randomized algorithms. Also a lot
of time was spent on NP-completeness and approximation algorithms.
Ended with Linear Programming.
- CMPSCI 691DD, Research
Methods in Computer Science: (Taught by Prof. Jensen)
Excellent course. Lots of reviews and a research project. Taught basics
of hypothesis testing, research ethics and stuff needed to do good
