Kevin FuKevin Fu

Kevin Fu was honored with Technology Review's 2009 Innovator of the Year Award. He was chosen from among the 2009 Young Innovators Under Age 35 (TR35), for his cutting-edge research to improve computer security and privacy for such applications as medical devices and contactless credit cards without compromising safety or effectiveness. TR35 is an elite group of accomplished young innovators who exemplify the spirit of innovation.

Since joining the Department in 2005, Kevin has received a prestigious Sloan Research Fellowship, a 2009 NSF CAREER Award, best paper awards from USENIX Security and IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy, and he appeared in the New York Times and Wall Street Journal among other national and international media exposure.

Join us for a social gathering with fellow alums and CS faculty. Stop by to reminisce with old friends and to make new connections. Learn about your alum peers to see what opportunities arise and to expand your social network.

Meet CS Assistant Professor Kevin Fu, Technology Review's 2009 Innovator of the Year. At 7:00 p.m., Prof. Fu will give a presentation on his work, "Security and Privacy for Pervasive, Wireless Healthcare."
