Postdoctoral Researcher: MobilityFirst project
Description:
We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to work as part of the MobilityFirst project team in the Computer Science Department at University of Massachusetts Amherst. The MobilityFirst project is an ambitious NSF-funded project to design and implement a “Future Internet Architecture” starting from a clean slate. The central design goals of MobilityFirst are mobility and trustworthiness, i.e., to seamlessly support the next generation of mobile and wireless devices and applications and do so in a secure manner. We are looking for a postdoc with a strong research track record in networked systems, particularly Internet architecture, protocol design, network security, and system building. The position will involve collaborating with the principal investigators, Profs. Arun Venkataramani, Jim Kurose, and Don Towsley, mentoring and working together with graduate students and research engineers. The postdoc will also have an opportunity to collaborate with other participating institutions in the MobilityFirst project.
Start date (approx.): August 1, 2011
Term: 2.5 years
Salary: $65K per year
