Mark Corner

Assistant Professor, Computer Science
Mobile and Pervasive Computing, Embedded Systems, Operating Systems, File Systems, Security

Background:  Ph.D. Electrical Engineering: Systems, University of Michigan (2003); M.S. Electrical Engineering, University of Virginia (1998); B.S. Electrical Engineering, University of Virginia (1998).
Professor Corner joined the Department of Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts as an Assistant Professor in 2003.

Research:  Professor Corner's research focuses on the performance, security, and usability of mobile computing systems . He has also made contributions in the areas of adaptive multimedia systems and broadband networking.

Activities and awards:  Professor Corner received an NSF CAREER award in 2005. He received an Intel Fellowship in 2001 and an award for the best student paper at Mobicom 2002.
