Financial Aid

Students who need financial aid consideration should complete Part III of the application form. This section of the application will let the Graduate Admissions Committee know that you want to be considered for Financial Aid. It is department policy to provide Financial Aid to most admitted students who request it. Funding is available in the form of assistantships. Research and Teaching Assistantships which include full tuition, curriculum and health fee waivers are awarded for either 9 or 12 months.

Applicants to Computer Science are encouraged to apply for external fellowships such as the NSF graduate fellowship. Receiving external funding is not only an honor, but it adds more flexibility in how you are funded, and usually you will receive at least slightly more money as well.
