Admission into the Department of Computer Science is highly competitive. Backgrounds vary; we have students from engineering, math, computer science, electrical engineering, psychology and social sciences. With such a diverse group, emphasis is put on letters of recommendation, personal statement, GPA and GRE scores. GPA's of admitted students are generally above 3.0.
