The
Department is pleased to announce the addition of three faculty with research
interests in secure data management, databases and XML, and security: Yanlei
Diao, Kevin Fu, and Gerome Miklau.

security method for P2P content -
Prof. Kevin Fu and colleagues developed a new encryption algorithm
that has significant impact on P2P security.

Bernstein, and Jordan receive awards -
Honorees
at the NSM awards dinner included Distinguished Professor Bruce Croft,
Dan Bernstein (Ph.D. '05), and Skip Jordan IV
(B.S. '05).

Five College area professors received an NSF grant to acquire
an experimental network of embedded and sensor systems.
