Undergraduate Program

Introduction

The Department of Computer Science offers an undergraduate program in computer science leading to the Bachelor of Science degree. Students who earn this degree are well prepared to assume responsible and challenging positions in the computing profession, and are also well prepared for graduate work in computing. Students admitted to the major join a community that is doing state-of-the-art research in computer science. Majors are encouraged to become involved with one of the department's many research projects, especially in their senior year.

The department also offers a minor for students who wish to combine study in a different discipline with a solid but abbreviated program in computer science.
