Biography
Ph.D. in Distributed Systems from Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble (INPG / INRIA, France) in 2001. Postdoc at Rice University with Pr. Willy Zwaenepoel in 2001/2002. Charge de Recherche INRIA (INRIA Research Scientist) since 2002. Chief Architect of the ObjectWeb consortium from 2003 to 2005. On leave from INRIA since 2005, first to be Chief Architect and then Chief Scientific Officer at Continuent (industrial transfer of database clustering technologies). Research scientist at EPFL from end of 2006 to 2008. Joined UMass Amherst as a Senior Research Fellow in July 2008 in the LASS laboratory with Pr. Prashant Shenoy. I also work for Aster Data Systems since October 2008.
Research
My current research projects focus on server and desktop virtualization, benchmarking, high availability and manageability.
