Biography
Ph.D. Electrical Engineering: Systems, University of Michigan (2003); M.S. Electrical Engineering, University of Virginia (1998); B.S. Electrical Engineering, University of Virginia (1998).
Professor Corner joined the Department of Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts as an Assistant Professor in 2003.
Research
Professor Corner's research focuses on the performance, security, and usability of mobile computing systems. He has also made contributions in the areas of adaptive multimedia systems and broadband networking.
Awards & Activities
Professor Corner received an NSF CAREER award in 2005 and was appointed to DARPA's Computer Science Study Group in 2009. He received Best Paper awards at USENIX FAST, ACM Multimedia, and MobiCom. In addition, Prof. Corner was named a 2007-2008 Lilly Teaching Fellow.
