Biography

Ph.D. Carnegie Mellon University (1986); M.S. Carnegie University (1983); B.S. Butler University (1981). Professor McGeoch joined the Department of Computer Science at Amherst college in 1987.

Research

Professor McGeoch's research interests include simulation and experimental methods for algorithm analysis, generation of random combinatorial objects, heuristics for NP-hard problems and algorithm design and analysis.
