Computer Science Homecoming/Research Showcase

You are cordially invited to the Computer Science Homecoming on Friday, October 20, 2006. This date coincides with the UMass Amherst Homecoming Weekend of October 20 - 21, 2006.

photo: Professor Emeritus Edward RisemanDuring this year's event, we will honor Professor Allen Hanson (shown to the left) and Professor Emeritus Edward Riseman (shown right) during a luncheon to celebrate their contributions to UMass Amherst Computer Science and to the field of computer vision research.

 

Some of the other Homecoming events will include a tour of our academic facilities, poster session showcasing the latest research areas of our faculty and students, and a reception to rekindle old friendships with classmates and to network with faculty, graduate students, alums, and industrial partners.

  • Lunch to honor Professor Allen Hanson and Professor Emeritus Edward Riseman (Rooms 150/151)
2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • Individual meetings with faculty
  • Building Tour
3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

LOGISTICS/DIRECTIONS: The CS Homecoming will be held in the Computer Science Building, 140 Governors Drive, UMass Amherst, Amherst, MA, 01003. View Directions to the UMass Campus and Computer Science Building. Free parking will be available in Lot 31 or Lot 26, directly across from our building (note: do not park in the spots with parking meters).
