With experience in at least two of the following: Part-time (short term) PositionWe are looking for three to four UMass students to help us conduct experiments in mobile networking. Each student is responsible to take specific PVTA buses (leaving from campus), carry one or two phones that we will provide, and run pre-installed applications on the phone. Participants should be able to devote at least three hours per day to conduct the work, on at least 3 of the 7 days each week, for at least 2--3 weeks. The more days available each week the better. The pay is $10 an hour. Part-time positions in CIIR for Arabic reading studentsThe Center for Intelligent Information Retrieval is working on a cross-lingual language processing project and is interested in recruiting part time graduate or undergraduate student employees. The project is related to information retrieval from web forums. One of the target languages is Arabic, specifically Egyptian dialect. We are seeking one or more Arabic reading students to assist us, especially in the areas of quality control and subjective evaluation of the retrieval results and various text processing transformations. |
