This seminar class will cover topics in Internet systems such as network architecture, overlay networks, network security and fault-tolerance, game theoretic concepts in network systems, content distribution etc. The papers will be selected from recent top conferences in networking and systems with some classical papers for background reading. Students will be expected to be familiar with basic networking and distributed systems concepts. The class may be either taken for one or three credits. The one-credit option will primarily involve reading and presenting papers and participating in class discussions. Students should expect to present at least one paper in class, and more depending on the size of the class. Students taking the class for three credits will additionally have to complete a final project on a topic of their choice.

The course does not have a textbook. For background reading, you may refer to "Computer Networking: A Top-Down Approach  Featuring the Internet" by Kurose and Ross. Reading material for the course is largely papers in the reading list.
