"The traveler sees what he sees. The tourist sees what he has come to see." - G.K. Chesterton
A journey ends, the passion continues
People ask me why I go so unprepared and unorganized on my trips. Well, the reason is not as naive as the lazyness, but it's rather more profound. I had gone to Egypt without plans, expectations, or biases. I saw it as it came to me. As I always say, I'm a traveler, not a tourist. So I didn't go to Egypt to see what I wanted to see as I didn't know anything. I just went there and saw what was there. Almost everything in my explorations was a discovery for me. Although I did visit many touristy spots, I tried to reach out to the real inside, where people are just Egyptians and not tourist touts. It was, of course difficult, but worthy. I met some amazing people - from Egypt and not from Egypt. I touched some hearts; I got touched by some.

Gazing at some awe-inspiring monuments and wondering through the historic passages of time were just some excuses to discover many things that are forgotten around and inside me. I re-realized my existance as a part of a global community - the world. Memories and impressions may remain or fade away, but the passion to discover more remains. Let's see what's next..!!
