General
I was born and raised in Hoover, Alabama where I graduated from Hoover High School in 1998. In 2001, I graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee with a B.S. in Math and Computer Science. I then went on to study Computer Science at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina where I received a M.S. in 2005 and a Ph.D. in 2007 under the supervision of Dr. Jeff Chase in the New Internet Computing Lab.
I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Computer Science Department at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in conjunction with the Laboratory for Advanced Software Systems and the NSF Center for Collaborative Adaptive Sensing of the Atmosphere. I reside in Williamstown, Massachusetts, where my wife is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Williams College and my dog is not enjoying snow.
Never quit. It is the easiest cop-out in the world. Set a goal and don't quit until you attain it.
When you do attain it, set another goal, and don't quit until you reach it. Never quit.
