I am an MS/PhD student in the College of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I work with professor David Jensen in the Knowledge Discovery Laboratory.

My research interests generally fall into three categories:

• Causality - Learning causal relationships from observational data, and empirical evaluation of causal inference algorithms. 
• Explainability - Finding ways to make machine learning methods more accessible and understandable for humans, and to allow humans and AI programs to work together effectively.
• Generalization - Developing AI systems that are able to reason effectively over a wide variety of inputs which may vary significantly from the data used for training.
