Ed Mazur

I am a graduate student in the computer science department at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. I'm a member of the database group and my advisor is Yanlei Diao.
I've been affiliated with UMass Amherst in one way or another since 2004. In 2009, I finished my undergraduate degree and I'm now a Bay State Fellow.

Research
My research interests include cloud computing and flash memory. I am studying performance issues in the MapReduce framework using the open-source Hadoop implementation.
