My Research
In general, my research interest spans mobile systems and networking with special emphasis on power management. I have been actively involved in building power efficient mobile systems for sensor networks (Triage - Mobisys 07) and disruption tolerant networks (Throwbox-Infocom 07). I have also been involved in building power efficient/ energy adaptive algorithms and protocols for mobile devices like laptops and cell phones (Turducken - Mobisys 05 and Llama (Ubicomp 07)). I wish to continue pursuing research on building mobile/embedded systems which have a strong theoretical basis and help solve problems which impact real people.
I am a part of the HPM (Hierarchical Power Management) , SENSORS (Sensors Network Research group) and PRISMS (Privacy, internetworking, security and mobile systems laboratory) research groups.
At IIT I worked on Combinatorial optimization problems related to communication and high speed networks. I was in Germany doing my internship at University of Dortmund , where I developed a special liking to running time analysis of multiobjective evolutionary algorithms. I have also worked on statistical image segmentation and classification. Please take some time to have a look at my publications to find more about my work.
