PhD Candidate, Computer Science
University of Massachusetts, Amherst
I am a graduate student in the department of Computer Science at UMASS, Amherst. My advisor is Prof. Prashant Shenoy. My research interests include OS and Virtualization, Wireless and Sensor Networks, Data-Centers and Green Computing.

Before starting this new era of academic career, I spent 3 yrs in software industry. I got my undergraduate degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

Current Work

Currently I am working on the design of datacenters running off renewables or varible power supply in general, and virtualizing steerable sensors such as PTZ cameras and weather radars. In the past, I have designed a remote management protocol for perpetual sensor networks. I have also developed an energy harvesting prediction model that leverages wethaer forecasts to predict future energy supply.
