I am a postdoctoral research fellow in the Computer Science Department at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. Previous to this I was a CNRS postdoctoral research fellow at Laboratoire de Signaux et Systemes-Supelec (LSS/CNRS) in France. I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Laboratoire d'Informatique de Paris 6 (LIP6) in France in Decembre 2005. Prior to my Ph.D., I received my Masters of Science (M.S.) in Telecommunication from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, and Bachelors of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering from University of Shiraz, Shiraz, Iran. Currently, I am working in Computer Networks Laboratory with Prof. Jim Kurose and Prof. Don Towsley.

My research interests include topics in computer networks, wireless communications and mobile computing. I am particularly interested in multi-user information theory and its applications in computer networks, cross-layer optimization, quality of service, and modeling and performance analysis of computer networks.
