God's Gentle Reminders

Dear Sis Rachel:

I read your letter and my heart burst and this came out,

Of all the women I have Known
Regardless of their age.
I've never heard more clearly expressed
Their personal inner rage.

A thousand demons may dance with joy
As your soul they truly vex.
But sister dear please hear my word
"your enemy is not sex"

For when God concluded all His Works
He said  that it was "good"
And sex was included in His creation
But it must be understood.

When it is perverted, like anything else
There is a price that must be paid.
And all the beauty God meant it to have
Will surely begin to fade.

The world will always mock God's ways
And try to lure you in.
Sex in marriage is a righteous act,
Outside of it's bonds it's sin

If all of those around you lacks wisdom,
To see that they're at fault.
Remember their souls need preserving,
And Rachel you are the salt.

Rachel. Rachel, Rachel,

Oh, there you are,

I thought you were hiding or ignoring me,
or hoping that I'd maybe go away.
But I'm like gum on the sole of your shoe,
so I'm kind of like here to stay.

Talk to me, tell me what seems to be wrong,
There could be something  I can do.
God who is well aware of our infirmities,
might just have an answer for you.

This world that we're in is not a perfect place,
that you seem to well know.
But it never will change just by yelling at it,
or by kicking the wall with your toe.

If one tiny atom contains enough power,
to blow a whole city away.
Think of what it meant when the disciples
heard our Lord Jesus say.

not just a lot or most but "All power in heaven
and earth is given unto me".
Wow, that's greater than taking the Atlantic
and pouring it's waters into a pea.

That is why, "the fullness of God in Christ,"
has been the world's greatest story.
But just as grand and just as true, Dear Rachel,
is "Christ in you The hope of Glory".
