Prashant Shenoy

 
 



I am an Associate Professor of Computer Science  at UMass Amherst. My research interests lie in operating and distributed systems, sensor networks, Internet systems, and multimedia. I head the Laboratory for Advanced Systems Software here at UMass where we build systems and understand them through analysis and experimentation.

Research


My current research projects focus on server and desktop virtualization, RFID networks, sensor data management, and pervasive multimedia systems.

I maintain the UMass Trace Repository and the UMass CS Weather Station and am part of the UMass Center for Advanced RFID Research.
