Address Prediction
- Increments and issues miss address, assuming
the next fetch will be to the next location
- Done during stall time of the miss
- Extends stall by 3 cycles in hope of
saving a longer miss later
- Typical miss time is 5 cycles for 1X
clock and 9 cycles for 2X clock
