9:00 - 9:20 AM Breakfast Buffet, Computer Science Building Atrium

9:20 - 9:30 AM Welcome, Computer Science Building Room 150/151. This will also be an opportunity to discuss questions of a general nature and to provide an introduction to the day's activities.

9:30 - 11:00 
Overlapping Activities:

Meetings with faculty members, Faculty Offices

Faculty members will be available in their offices to talk with candidates about research. Sign up for appointments in the Computer Science Main Office, Room 100.

Computer Science Poster Session, Rm 150/151, Computer Science Colloquium Room

Computer Science graduate students available to talk about their research with the candidates. A list of the research labs and brief descriptions of their research activities is available from this link.

11:00 - 12:00 PM 
Departmental Introductions, Room 150/151, Computer Science Colloquium Room 
Plenary get-together. The candidates will gather for a short meeting featuring some short talks from department and campus administrators.

12:00 - 1:00 PM
 Lunch Buffet, Computer Science Building Atrium

Buffet Lunch. Candidates, faculty, and grad students share a do-it-yourself buffet lunch.

1:00-1:30 PM 
Graduate Program Director Comments, Rm 150/151, Computer Science Colloquium Room

Sridhar Mahadevan, GPD, will discuss our graduate program.

1:30 - 3:00 PM
 Graduate Student Panel Discussion, Rm 150/151, Computer Science Colloquium Room

Graduate students will discuss living in the Pioneer Valley. Topics include finding apartments, places to eat, coffee shops, area attractions, etc.

3:00 - 5:00 PM

Open Laboratory Hours, Robotics Demo, Campus Tour, CS Bldg., Robotics Lab, LGRC

Computer Science department research labs will be open and staffed with graduate students set to give demos and talk about their research with the candidates. 3:00 PM
 Afternoon Break, Refreshments will be available in the Computer Science Atrium

5:00 PM 
Campus/Area Tour, Check out the sights of Amherst and the UMass campus on your way to dinner.

5:45 PM 
Dinner, High Horse Brewery, Amherst

Candidates, graduate students and faculty members will sit down to dinner at round tables to facilitate interactions with each other.

8:00 PM 
Activities, Events

We are assembling a list of events that will be taking place this evening. We expect to complete our dinner in time for candidates to attend whichever event appeals to them. Past events have included sporting events, ice skating, and movies.
