George's ongoing research creates systems for secure, large-scale data processing and analysis. He also develops and analyzes cryptocurrency protocols such as Bitcoin.
George received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2010. He spent several years in Boston working at mobile advertising startup Fiksu, followed by distributed database startup Hadapt. He rejoined the College of Information and Computer Sciences at UMass Amherst in 2013.
