What will I Have to Pay to go to Grad School?
The fees that an individual student pays depends on the number of credits a student is enrolled in for the semester and if the student has an assistantship or fellowship. At UMass students who are on an assistantship receive waivers for the tuition, curriculum and health fees.
Below are sample semesterly bills that you may receive during your studies at UMass (numbers are based on 2011-2012 rates)
First Year Grad Student- 6 credits, Out-of- State, has an assistantship, $881.25

*students taking less than five credits per semester are eligible for UHS services. However, the Student Health Fee is not automatically added to the tuition bill. To register and pay the fee per semester, come to UHS Patient Services before the end of the Add/Drop period. There is a $54 enrollment fee due at the time of enrollment.
